Happiness in Practice: Positive Psychology & Community Resilience is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, dedicated to promoting emotional well-being, resilience and social inclusion through creative practices, positive psychology and experiential learning.

What is Happiness in Practice?
Happiness in Practice was created with the aim of transforming scientific knowledge into practical tools that can be applied by educators, professionals and communities to foster self-awareness, human connection and sustainable well-being.The project is based on methodologies that combine positive psychology, social theatre and collaborative learning, helping people not only to cope with challenging situations, but also to flourish together.
🎯 Project Objectives
The main objectives of the project are to:
Promote emotional well-being and resilience among adults.
Foster methodologies based on positive psychology and experiential learning.
Build a community of practice among educators, professionals and participants.
Develop methodological tools that can be replicated in different local contexts.
Consortium Partners
The project brings together three European organisations with experience in education, social arts and international cooperation:
SOLIS SRLS – Italy (Project Coordinator)
ESA – European Social Art – Spain
PFE – Projects for Europe – Belgium
Activities carried out so far
Since its launch, the consortium has made progress on several key actions:
📍 International coordination meetings: initial online meetings were held to align the project vision, define the next operational steps and strengthen collaboration among partners.
📍 Development of visual identity and communication: the official project logo was presented, symbolising human connection, shared joy and community well-being.
📍 Launch of communication and dissemination channels: the official project website was launched, social media profiles were activated, and the first newsletter was published, summarising the main developments and upcoming challenges.
These activities have laid the foundations for the collaborative work and methodological exchanges that will take place over the coming months.
Upcoming key activity: "International Workshop in Modena"
One of the most important milestones of the project will be the First International Workshop, which will take place from 19 to 21 January 2026 at Sala Civica Comunale (Modena, Italy).
During this three-day meeting, partner organisations will work hands-on on:
Applied positive psychology
Emotional well-being and stress management practices
Empathy Circles dynamics
Creative and autobiographical workshops
Co-creation of tools that will become part of the Happiness Toolkit
This workshop will mark a key moment in consolidating the project methodologies and generating outputs that can be used and replicated in different educational and community contexts.
Building community well-being
Happiness in Practice represents an innovative approach to addressing emotional well-being challenges among adults, combining science and art, education and emotion.
From ESA – European Social Art, we remain fully committed to this project and to creating spaces that strengthen human connection, creativity and resilience within our communities.
